Huxman & Dubbs of Arnold, KS owned a wooden elevator at Arnold, Kansas. We not know what year this elevator was built. In October 1952, they signed a contract using the name of Arnold Elevator Company with Chalmers and Borton of Hutchinson, Kansas to build a concrete elevator of approximately 182,000 bushels of storage capacity just east of the wooden elevator for a cost of $114,000.

In August 1954, an additional 200,000 bushels of storage was added onto the west end of the existing concrete elevator for a cost of $84,000.

In February 1958, the storage capacity was increased by approximately 334,000 bushels by adding onto the east end of the existing concrete elevator for a cost of $128,000.

It now has a licensed storage capacity of 736,000 bushels.

At some point of time, the Arnold Elevator was sold to the Wright Cooperative Association.

The Arnold Elevator became a part of the Garden City Co-op on June 1, 2006 when it was purchased from the Wright Cooperative Association. The wooden elevator still exists today, but it is not being used.
