2015 Safety Awards Banquet

Kansas Motor Carrier Association member companies and their employees were recognized for their exceptional commitment to the safety of the driving public on April 19, 2016. There were twelve Driver of the Month plaques awarded to Kansas professional drivers that represented over 339 years of experience and more than 39 million miles of safe driving during their careers. The winners included two Western Transport drivers, Chris Unruh and Joe Morales.

In addition to the Drivers of the Month there were sixteen Top Fleet awards that included Western Transport and Farmers Transport. Farmers Transport won the overall Ag Division award. Top Fleets have accumulated 130 million miles traveled on Kansas highways in 2015 with an accident ratio of .502 per million miles or less. Western Transport and Farmers Transport both had a .00 accident ratio for 2015.

We couldn’t be prouder of the drivers and staff for working together to make Western and Farmers Transport two of the safest fleets in the State of Kansas!
